BioDiscovery Releases Nexus Copy Number Professional Version 3 for DNA Copy Number Analysis and Visualization

EL SEGUNDO, CA. (OBBeC) - BioDiscovery, has released Nexus Copy Number Professional Version 3, a software solution that the company describe as “an efficient, scalable, and intuitive means for research scientists to transform their raw genomic data into biological insights.”

The software is essentially designed for data integration - allowing thousands of arrays along with their clinical annotations from any array platform, such as Agilent, Affymetrix, Illumina, Roche Nimblegen, and Empire Genomics to be loaded and processed in a single project. Furthermore, with this release, users can integrate gene expression and miRNA results obtained from any platform with their copy number project to further enable system level discoveries.

Enhanced features in version 3.0 should allow users to rapidly overlay acquired data on chromosomal aberrations regions, enabling identification of areas of genomic "hotspots" that have a concordance of multiple events in a small area. Additionally, updates to the existing novel clustering scheme have been made to provide the ability to view clinical annotations on the dendrogram branches and facilitate factor enrichment for quick identification of clinical factors that are enriched in a particular cluster.

System Requirements:
Platforms Supported: Windows 9x/Nt4/Win2k/WinXP, Linux and OS X
Minimum: 700 MHz Pentium or G4, 256 MB RAM
